Multi-Column Matrices Selection Combined With k-Means Scheme for Mobile OCC System With Multi-LEDs

In mobile optical camera communication (MOCC) system, more than one LED is used to simultaneously illuminate and communicate. In the letter, the MOCC system with multi-LEDs and a mobile receiver is experimentally investigated. To avoid the signal interference between two LEDs and alleviate the performance degradation caused by the movement of the receiver, multi-column matrices selection (MCMS) combined with k-means based decoding (KMD) scheme is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The experimental results show that, the proposed scheme can achieve the bit error ratio (BER) of $8.74\times 10^{-6}$ at the moving speed of 20cm/s. And the data rate is 4.2 Kb/s.
