Improved Post 1-D Analysis Using Distribution of Differential Magnetic Permeability

In order to calculate the iron loss in motors with high accuracy, it is necessary to consider skin effect of the eddy current in laminated electrical steel sheets. To solve this problem, the post 1-D analysis is used. It divides every element along the thickness and calculates the distribution of the eddy current and magnetic flux density. In this article, we propose improved post 1-D analysis using the distribution of the differential permeability. In this method, 1-D equation has second differential term using differential permeability coefficient. By using the differential permeability, it is possible to express the sensitivity of the magnetization correctly.
