In article 2000220, Dai and coworkers examine the influence of solvent on the efficiency of dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Aprotic solvents with high polarity show to be ideal as they enable direct adsorption of the dye to the semiconductor surface and facilitate faster electron injection. The study explains why acetonitrile is the de facto preferred solvent for DSSCs.
