Welcome to your May edition of Society News, which celebrates the 75th anniversary of Weather this month.

Weather is the Society's house journal and we are proud that it continues to go from strength to strength, thanks to your support. We hope you enjoy reading some of the great memories our long‐standing members have shared with us as we reflect on the past 75 years.

Looking ahead, we invite you all to save the date of Monday 7 June for the Society's AGM. This year's meeting will once again be hosted virtually and you will have hopefully received the agenda in your April issue. It can also be found as an insert on your member dashboard at rmets.org and will be available on our website alongside relevant documents such as the Annual Accounts and Report for 2020. As well as the formalities, the meeting will include announcements on our annual Awards and Prizes.

We would encourage all members to join us by registering via rmets.org/events or please contact us on 0118 2080 142 or email info@rmets.org. Please be aware only members of the Society will be able to vote.
