Autoparametric Oscillations with Delays in Elastic and Frictional Forces

Abstract

Mixed parametric oscillations and self-excited oscillations in a system with a nonideal power source with delays in the elastic and frictional forces are considered. The direct linearization method is used for solving nonlinear equations. The stability conditions of stationary oscillations are determined. Calculations were carried out, and it appears that the delay leads to some interesting results. Due to the delay, the curves can behave as if there were a nonlinear elastic force and the upper (stationary without any delay) and lower branches of the amplitude curves may be unstable for a certain delay.
