We have written before about how much we enjoy writing these Editors’ Corners as a way of sharing current events or our thoughts on important issue more quickly into a published piece than routine journal articles would allow. For this, our last editorial before we hand over the editor-in-chief (EIC) reins to the new co-EIC team, we want to share our experiences of this role as part of a “rhythm of academic life” (Frost & Taylor, 1996) as we prepare to leave it.
