Calculation of Systems with Electric Machines and Solid-State Converters on High-Speed Dual Models

Abstract

To cut the amount of machine time spent on designing systems with electric machines and semiconductor converters, it is proposed to describe processes using smooth current and voltage constituents. It is also proposed to use dual system models that combine the simulation using smooth components of curves with the simulation of systems by interconnected subsystems. This allows reconciling the requirements on the speed and accuracy of calculating long-time processes. An example of creating a dual solid-state drive model with a PMAC motor is provided.
