We inspect the exclusive hadronic decay modes B d → ϕ(η (′), π, ω), induced by quark-level transitions such as b → d (ΔS = 0) in the vector-like down quark model. These decay modes exhibit high levels of suppression followed by the predicted branching fraction which leads us to scrutinize physics beyond the standard model. We constrain the new parameter space inferred from experimental limits to the leptonic B d → ℓℓ(ℓ = e,μ, τ) and nonleptonic decay modes B d → η′π 0 and B u → ρ − η′. We then check that the new physics contributions have a significant impact on the clearly observed so-called branching ratio of the B d → ϕ(η (′), π, ω) processes.
