Pair‐Emission‐Induced Near‐Infrared Lasing from Ceramic Ga:LaCrO3 Microcrystals at Room Temperature

Lasing due to pair emission of exchange coupled Cr3+ ions in the LaCr0.5Ga0.5O3 perovskite system is reported by M. S. Ramachandra Rao, K. Sethupathi, and co‐workers in article number 2000519. A laser threshold value of 73 W cm−2 is obtained at room temperature and a better threshold of 35 W cm−2 is observed near 100 K. The pair emission is confirmed with the help of lifetime and electron spin resonance spectroscopy analysis.
