The current study aims to develop an integrated model for women empowerment in rural India using primary data collected from 3000 women across 60 villages from East, West, South, North, and Central India. Exploratory factor analysis came out with the three main dimensions of women empowerment, namely, economic, social and human, and legal empowerment. A conceptual model is thus devised, which throws light on key areas that can be developed. Reforms are required to make rural women economically independent, providing them social freedom and utilities and ensuring a strict and favourable judiciary system for ensuring women empowerment.
