This Corrigendum corrects https://doi.org/10.1002/ajp.23231 which was published in Am J Primatol. 83(2): e23231.

When the article was first published online there were some errors in Figures 2–5. Figures (2–5) do not match with their captions or in‐text citations. This has now been corrected.

This correction does not affect the conclusions in the rest of the paper.

The authors wish to apologize for the mistake.
