Then it becomes evident just how radical a philosophy and theology Romeo and Juliet presents. Shakespeare does not hang up philosophy. Instead, he makes a Juliet. And he offers the story of the transcendent love of Juliet and Romeo to his audience as adversity's sweet milk.
