Abstract This paper argues that in the bilingual inscription S2 (Nollé) the Sidetic form ↑ue[ corresponds not to Greek ἀνέθηκεν ‘set up’, but rather to πᾶσι ‘all’. It is argued that this Sidetic word for ‘all’ is cognate with Lyc. huwedr(i) ‘all’ and that the spelling ↑ue[ represents something like [ʃwe(dri)] < *suwedri (cf. Luw. šuwatar ‘fullness’). The fricative interpretation of Sidetic ↑ is not contradicted by the personal name śdi↑s = Σιδιδος for which a new analysis is offered.
