Active-Switched Coupled-Inductor Impedance Network Boost Inverters

In this paper, a family of active-switched coupled-inductor impedance network boost inverters (ASCL-INBIs) is proposed. The proposed topologies combine conventional quasi-switched boost inverter (QSBI) and quasi-T-source inverter (QTSI) to realize the continuous input current and suppress the startup inrush current, and replace the independent inductor with four coupled-inductor cells (T-source, Γ-source, flipped Γ-source and Y-source) to produce the higher boost ability. The proposed ASCL-INBIs include four topologies named, respectively active-switched T-source boost inverter (ASTS-BI), active-switched Γ-source boost inverter (ASΓS-BI), flipped active-switched Γ-source boost inverter (fASΓS-BI) and active-switched Y-source boost inverter (ASYS-BI). ASTS-BI is served as an example to show the operation principles, steady-state analysis, parameter design and performance advantages for proposed four topologies. Finally, the experiment results have verified the validity of the theoretical analysis.
