The Editorial Board is delighted to present a symposium on two of the latest co-authored books in the History and Philosophy of Education Series from the University of Chicago Press, Making Up Our Mind: What School Choice Is Really About (MM) and Homeschooling: The History and Philosophy of a Controversial Practice (HS). This symposium features commentaries from Jaime Ahlberg, Charles L. Howell, Benjamin Justice, and Michael S. Merry, along with responses from authors Sigal Ben-Porath, Michael Johanek, James G. Dwyer, and Shawn F. Peters. We are grateful to all the participants for their contributions to the symposium and to a related Author-Meets-Critics event sponsored by Theory and Research in Education (TRE) at the 2019 Meeting of the North American Association for Philosophy and Education (NAAPE) in Mundelein, IL, on 25 October 2019.
