The article deals with the unfolding of rolled tin headbands from the Early Bronze Age with the support of computer vision techniques—generating panoramic images and point clouds, using either a structured light scanner or Structure from Motion photogrammetry. The accuracy in the unfolding of the artefacts was analysed by comparing the lengths determined by various technologies. The results reveal that the unfolding of headbands by panorama stitching proves to be an effective and accurate method for determining the length of rolled artefacts. Differences in length determined by panoramas created in Image Composite Editor and by measurements on a 3D surface obtained with an optical 3D scanner based on structured light drew values in tenths of a millimetre. The length for fragments measuring 10–15 cm was determined with a relative accuracy of about 0.5%, which is sufficient to correctly define the scale in a non-invasive digital analysis of potential interconnections between fragments.
