Leadership Impact Experiences of Student Representatives to The Roeper School Board of Trustees

In this grounded theory exploration, leadership capacity was studied descriptively, using surveys and member-check follow-up contact. Our intent was to learn from former student trustees of The Roeper School (a school for the gifted) whether and how the leadership experience impacted them. In addition, we wanted to know whether this impact had effects on their leadership capacity as adults. Ultimately, five theoretical statements were built from the data analysis, which others might find useful to further explore leadership impact and capacity building with gifted and talented individuals.
