ABSTRACT

This study analyses the impact of information and communication technology (ICT)-driven product and process innovation on productivity and economic output growth at the sectoral level in Korea. A traditional growth accounting framework is applied with a quality-adjusted price index on ICT capital and ICT intermediate goods. In the productivity analysis, the impact of ICT-driven process innovation weakens over time in both the manufacturing and service sectors. In the economic output growth analysis, ICT-driven product innovation largely influences the ICT producing manufacturing sector, and national economic growth has benefited from ICT-driven product innovation almost four times as much as from ICT-driven process innovation during 2000–2012.

本研究分析了信息和通信技术 (ICT) 驱动的产品和流程创新对韩国部门层面的生产力和经济产出增长的影响。传统的增长核算框架适用于 ICT 资本和 ICT 中间产品的质量调整价格指数。在生产力分析中，ICT 驱动的流程创新的影响随着时间的推移在制造业和服务业中减弱。在经济产出增长分析中，ICT 驱动的产品创新在很大程度上影响了 ICT 生产制造业，2000-2012 年期间，国家经济增长从 ICT 驱动的产品创新中受益几乎是 ICT 驱动的流程创新的四倍。
