Today ballet is an integral part of life not only for those directly associated with that art but also for all those interested in this type of performance, people who have developed a sensitivity toward it. This article aims to show the prerequisites and strategies for the development of certain dress fashions in the 21st century that were influenced by the work of fashion designers specializing in ballet costumes. The article also advances a stylistic analysis of fashion in Soviet and post-Soviet society, in relation to three styles: modern, avant-garde and postmodern. In summary, the 21st century is seeing a revival of ballet, as a feature of the cultural life of Western society, and given modern trends, ballet will not lose its relevance.
