ABSTRACT

The author shares his personal recollections on Henry Cleere during his years as World Heritage Coordinator for the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) between 1992 and 2003, from Henry’s own inaugural presentation of the Cambodian temple complex of Angkor to the World Heritage Committee in 1992, to a personal guided tour of Roman and medieval iron industry sites in Sussex in southeast England in 2003.
