The Kavanaugh hearings in September 2018, during which Christine Blasey Ford gave careful and heart-wrenching testimony about being sexually assaulted by the man who aspired to become a Supreme Court Justice, was followed by hectoring, furious white men, and the vote to confirm Kavanaugh. These events aroused a collective fury among women. This muse piece considers the importance and validity of women’s rage, in prose and in poetry.
