quantum mechanics’ (David Mermin). We can also find in this book clear attempts to vindicate Bohr’s thinking from an experimental point of view. It is thus argued that experiments such as the one carried out by Shahriar S. Afshar in 2004, in which particle and wave properties coexist, should not be interpreted as a refutation of the framework of complementarity (Kauark-Leite). Likewise, a technological understanding (in the wider sense, not only experimental) of quantum electrodynamics and quantum field theory in ‘the spirit of Copenhagen’, whose culmination would be the discovery, in the twenty-first century, of the Higgs boson (Plotnitsky), is also posited. On the other hand, complementarity, understood as a methodological guide and not in metaphysical terms, could help reach a better explanation of the quantum tunnelling phenomenon (Perović). Ultimately, we find ourselves before a highly recommended work, not only for all those who take an interest in fields located at the frontier between theoretical physics and philosophy of physics, but also, and even more so, for those who believe that metaempirical questions, philosophical or however they are named, have no role in the understanding of physics or the natural sciences in general.
