3‐Bromo‐2‐hydroxybenzaldehyde has been used as an efficient transient directing group (TDG) in the Pd‐catalyzed sp3−C−H arylation of primary amines in γ‐position. These experimental findings have been corroborated by computational studies. Further functionalization (tandem oxidation) and synthetic application were also achieved with the presented Pd/TDG catalytic approach.
