This paper discusses the peculiarities of applying the parametric structural approach to constructing analytical approximations of the relief of the surface and anomalous gravitational field of the Earth in the framework of the modified S-approximation method. The results of a mathematical experiment using real data on the relief and anomalous gravitational field are presented.
