Theaimof thisstudy is toexplore the impactmechanismsofpsychological learningclimateon employees’innovativeuseofinformationsystems(IS).Usingstructuralequationmodeling,thisstudy developsatheoreticalmodeltoinvestigatehowthepsychologicallearningclimateaffectsinnovative ISusebyintroducingindividualmotivationalfactorsasmediators.Themodelistestedthrougha surveyof163employeesusingenterpriseresourceplanning(ERP)systemsinChina.Theresults suggestthatpsychologicallearningclimateispositivelyrelatedtoinnovativeISusebothdirectlyand indirectly.Theindirecteffectworksthroughmotivatingemployees’intrinsicmotivationandcreative self-efficiency.ThisstudyaddstotheliteratureonISusebyidentifyingandexaminingtheroleof psychologicallearningclimateasadriverofinnovativeISuse.Thefindingscouldprovidemanagers withanunderstandingofhowmanagementcaninspireemployees’potentialinISinnovation.
