affected. As such, it would be useful to classify the levels of protests and how these affect society. Bringing more discussion about the broader context of protests would enrich the discussion and situate the reader with contrasting viewpoints. The author concludes that we all should become activists, and ‘should not ask permission from the authorities before staging protests,’ and in doing so we all ‘need to become space invaders’ (p. 149). The combination of struggles presented in this book certainly supports the notion that more activism is needed because there are still unresolved inequalities. However, the ideal scenario should be one where respect for others is prioritized (including those not involved in protesting), and multiple voices could coexist in their attempt to plead for justice.
