ABSTRACT This article examines posthuman subjectivity and singularity as it exists within a nature-culture continuum. It reinterprets Rosi Braidotti’s idea of posthuman subjectivity from the philosophical perspectives of Jacques Derrida’s différance and supplement and Giorgio Agamben’s paradigm. In critique of the modern subjectivity, it traces the transversal vitality of the posthuman subject back to its topological, positional, and relational functions and expressions. This helps us see how the posthuman subjectivity is a dialectical paradox of self and other, identity and difference, and presence and absence – yet this is a paradox which allows us to see how the posthuman subject is all of a signature, paradigm, and supplement who also embodies difference.
