Synthesis and characterization of hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium encapsulated silicovanadate and its antibacterial activity against uropathogenic Escherichia coli

The present study is focused on the synthesis of hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium encapsulated silicovanadate [C19H39N](HSiV10O28) by sol–gel and hydrothermal method. The compounds have been characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), thermogravimetry–differential scanning calorimetry (TGA/DSC), and UV–visible spectroscopy. Antibacterial trial shows that the synthesized compounds have a potential synergistic effect with β-lactam antibiotics against uropathogenic Escherichia coli to treat urinary tract infection.

十六烷基三甲基铵包裹的硅氧钒酸盐的合成,表征及其对尿毒原性大肠杆菌的抗菌活性

本研究的重点是通过溶胶-凝胶法和水热法合成十六烷基三甲基铵包封的硅钒酸盐[C 19 H 39 N](HSiV 10 O 28)。使用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR),X射线粉末衍射(XRD),扫描电子显微镜(SEM),热重分析-差示扫描量热法(TGA / DSC)和紫外可见光谱对化合物进行了表征。抗菌试验表明,所合成的化合物与β-内酰胺类抗生素具有潜在的协同作用,可对抗尿路致病性大肠杆菌治疗尿路感染。
