This is my second editorial during the COVID-19 crisis, which continues to have a profound impact on all our personal and professional lives. While there is encouraging progress in managing the pandemic in some contexts, the virus remains a huge challenge everywhere, a sinister example of globalisation. Educational leadership should always be focused mainly on the needs of children and young people, and addressing those needs has never been more important or more difficult.
