We describe the set $[X,Y]$ of path-components of pointed mapping spaces $M_{⁎}(X,Y)$, where X is chosen to be the reduced kth suspension $E^k\mathbb{F}{P}^m$ of a projective space $\mathbb{F}{P}^m$ and Y is a sphere ${\mathbb{S}}^n$ or $\mathbb{F}{P}^n$ for $\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{R},\mathbb{C}$, the fields of real or complex numbers, respectively. In particular, the cohomotopy sets ${\pi }^n(E^k\mathbb{F}{P}^m)$ are studied for $k\ge 0$ and certain $m,n\ge 1$.
