Andreev reflection induced by Majorana zero mode in the presence of ferromagnetic lead

The Majorana-induced Andreev reflection is theoretically investigated, by considering the case of ferromagnetic lead to couple to it via one quantum dot. We find that for the ferromagnetic lead, the Majorana zero mode (MZM) still causes the resonant Andreev reflection at the low-bias limit, even when finite Zeeman splitting appears in the quantum dot. However, the magnetoresistance exhibits interesting properties, and its magnitude and sign depend on the magnetization-direction difference between the ferromagnetic lead and the MZM, especially in the presence of Zeeman effect in the dot. We believe that these findings can be helpful in understanding the MZM-driven Andreev reflections modulated by the ferromagnetic lead.
