As an attractive option of chitosan (CTS) biopolymers and their composites, this article describes green chemical materials in the fabrication and application for water treatment. Especially, CTSby product in Vietnam is introduced in addition with their properties and innovative uses. In particular, CTS composite materials for the purpose of water treatment are highlighted as eco-friendly adsorbents.
