Abstract
The indole derivative [3,3':3',3''-terindolin]-2'-one bis(dimethyl sulfoxide), C24H17N3O ⋅ 2(C2H6OS) has been synthesized using green protocol in 89% yield, and its crystal structure is determined by X-ray structure analysis. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21/n, Z = 4. Bicyclic indole moieties form dihedral angle of 60.32° with each other; the oxindole ring is twisted with respect to them at angles of 86.08° and 76.93°. The crystal structure is stabilized by N–H⋅⋅⋅O, N–H⋅⋅⋅S, and C–H⋅⋅⋅O hydrogen bonds involving both DMSO solvate molecules.
