Influence of heterovalent substitution on structural, electrical and thermoelectric properties of Cu7-xPS6-xBrx solid solutions

Abstract Synthesis and growth of Cu7-xPS6-xBrx solid solutions were performed. Cu7-xPS6-xBrx solid solutions were grown by the method of direct crystallization from the melt. Impedance measurements were carried out in the range of frequencies from 10 Hz to 300 kHz and in the temperature interval 293-383 K. Temperature and frequency dependences of electrical conductivity for Cu7-xPS6-xBrx solid solutions were studied. Thermoelectric parameters of Cu7-xPS6-xBrx solid solutions were measured in the temperature interval 293-383 K. The compositional behavior of electrical conductivity and activation energy as well as Seebeck coefficient and power factor was analyzed. The influence of heterovalent substitution on structural, electrical and thermoelectric properties of Cu7-xPS6-xBrx solid solutions was studied.
