Ultrafine Pt stabilized on Ti3C2Tx/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites for alcohol oxidation reaction (AOR)

Abstract Three-dimensional platinum/Ti3C2Tx-reduced graphene oxide was prepared by solvothermal method. The morphology, microstructure and composition of the catalyst were examined. The synthesized Pt/Ti3C2Tx-rGO exhibits superior electrocatalytic activity, CO tolerance and long-term stability towards alcohol oxidation reaction. This work demonstrates for the first time that Pt/Ti3C2Tx-rGO can be used as an effective anode catalyst for direct alcohol fuel cell (DAFC).
