The effect of nitrogen and boron on magneto-optical and dielectric properties of the azafullerenes C60-nxn(X=B, N; n=1, 2)

Abstract Using the extended Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model and the sum-over-state method, we have calculated the dielectric properties for azafullerenes. In this scenario, the obtained results indicate that substitute doping affects the dielectric properties. The highest peak in the reflectivity spectrum of C60-nxn(X = B, N; n = 1, 2) is located at 3.14–3.20 eV. In the azafullerenes C60-nxn(X = B, N; n = 1, 2), the Circular dichroism and birefringence coefficient are of the order of 10−4. We compare our results with single-wall-carbon nanotubes and C60 fullerenes.
