ABSTRACT

In this paper, water hyacinth and Pistia stratiotes pellet fuel are the research objects, and the flue gas emission characteristics of aquatic biomass compact fuels burning in the O2/CO2 atmosphere are studied. Analyze the effects of temperature (600, 700, 800, 900°C), air flow (2, 3, 4, 5 L/min) and particle length (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 cm) on flue gas emissions and calculate the total emission of harmful gases and the conversion rate of nitrogen and sulfur elements. Finally, by calculating the variance of the two types of particles during combustion, the significance of the effects of different operating conditions on emissions is analyzed. The research results show that when the temperature is 700°C, the gas flow is 3 L/min, and the particle length is 1.5 cm, the emission of harmful gases NO, NOx, SO2, CO is significantly reduced, and the two kinds of particles are fully burned under this working condition and the energy is higher utilization. This study provides a certain theoretical basis for the development and design of aquatic biomass pellet combustion equipment and the selection of operating parameters.
