Implementation of general linear methods for Volterra integral equations

General linear methods (GLMs) are a large family of methods which have been already introduced for the numerical solution of Volterra integral equations of the second kind. In this paper, various issues relevant to the implementation of these methods in a variable stepsize environment are discussed, and the corresponding code is developed.
