In this paper, we follow an approach which considers the entropy of a dynamical system as a linear operator. We assign a linear operator on L^p spaces using a kernel entropy function. The case p = 2 is of special interest, since we may relate the entropy of the system in terms of the eigenvalues of the operator. The special case p = 1 also results in a local entropy map.
