Wanghuai Xu is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong and the Department of Precision Machinery and Precision Instrumentation, at University of Science and Technology of China. His research interest focuses on water-based energy harvesting, electrical phenomena at the water-solid interface and bioinspired surface engineering.

Zuankai Wang is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong. He received his PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA, in 2008, his MS degree in microelectronics from Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2003, and BS degree in mechanical engineering from Jilin University, China, in 2000. His research mainly focuses on nature-inspired materials and devices.
