This special issue contains 28 full papers selected from the Computer Animation and Social Agents 2020 Conference (CASA2020). This conference was founded by the Computer Graphics Society in 1988 in Geneva and is the oldest conference on Computer Animation in the world. It has been held in many countries around the world and in recent years in Beijing, China (2018), Paris, France (2019) and this year in Bournemouth, United Kingdom. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year, the conference will be held online through the Youtube Channel. The best paper award will be announced on the conference website after the conference. We have altogether received 86 submissions, out of which 28 papers have been accepted in this issue and will be presented in eight sessions with the order: • Crowd Simulation • Image Processing and Computer Vision I • Image Processing and Computer Vision II • Virtual Reality I • Virtual Reality II • Natural Phenomena • Virtual Human Animation • Geometry Modeling We would like to thank the authors for sharing their research findings by submitting papers to CASA2020. We are very grateful to the Program Committee members for reviewing the papers and to all the people who have contributed to the success of CASA2020 in Bournemouth. The conference is organized by Bournemouth University under the guidance of the Computer Graphics Society (CGS).
