Results and flight tests of high precision photonic crystal fiber optic gyroscope

Abstract Aiming at the requirement of high precision, high orbit and long-life in tasks of spacecraft, photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is used in the development of Interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscope (IFOG). And in this paper, we introduced current work in development of this filed, of which the bias stability is 0.001°/h and operating range is ±20°/s. In addition, the technology included PCF used in our work has been launched in SJ-20 on December 27, 2019 successfully. And On orbit data show that all indexes meet the design requirements and can meet the application requirements of spacecraft in the future.
