Abstract

The review presents theoretical and experimental data on the synthesis, properties and industrial use of oligosiloxane diols and element-oligosiloxane diols. The processes of their structuring, the effect of catalysts for structuring and introducing inorganic elements into the main chains of the siloxane molecules on the protective and physico-mechanical properties of vulcanized element-siloxane coatings are discussed.
