Magnetoacoustic Waves in Partially Ionized Two-Fluid Heat-Releasing Plasma

Abstract

A dispersion relation for magnetoacoustic waves in partially ionized heat-releasing plasma in an external magnetic field is derived in a compact form. The increments of slow and fast modified magnetoacoustic waves are calculated in the case of isentropic instability; their strong dependence on the degree of ionization and frequency of ion—neutral collisions is showed.
