Second-harmonic generation in one-dimensional ANDS microstructures by nanosecond laser radiation pulses

Abstract A study on the nanosecond laser radiation with second harmonic generation in one-dimensional ANDS samples is presented for the first time. The 71 μm wide, 8 mm long one-dimensional ANDS sample has achieved a green output power of 1.93 mW under a coupled fundamental light power of 359.26 mW. The power conversion efficiency of the microstructure is similar to 1.5 × 10−2 W−1, and the laser threshold is 125 mW (pulse energy = 6.25 μJ). In addition, power measurements of four different samples show that the conversion efficiency is influenced by samples length and cross section size.
