ABSTRACT Five unusual egg-clusters with numerous larvae of an unidentified species of sarcoptid mite (Notoedres sp.) were observed on the wings of the cave-roosting, Southeast Asian bat, Chaerephon plicatus. An egg-cluster contained more than 250 eggs and all eggs joined to each other with a long pedicel. The larvae of this unidentified sarcoptid mite are unusual, having long dorsal and ventral setae, longitudinal striae, and oblong idiosoma.
