Study of CaO–TiO 2 Melts by Knudsen Effusion Mass Spectrometry

Abstract

The activities of oxides in CaO–TiO2 melts in the temperature region of 2241−2441 K are determined via Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry. Such thermodynamic properties of calcium titanate melts as the chemical potential of their oxides, their energies of mixing, and their partial and integral enthalpies and entropies of formation are calculated from the experimental data. The results are compared to the available literature data.
