We study the [Formula: see text] decay mode of a light CP-odd Higgs boson of the NMSSM, [Formula: see text], produced in bottom-gluon fusion at the LHC. It is shown that for high luminosity of the LHC, there exist regions of the NMSSM parameter space that can be exploited to detect the [Formula: see text] through this channel.
