We obtained high-resolution, diffraction limited imaging of the candidate binary RR Lyrae UV Oct using Gemini-South/Zorro. We detect no companions between 0.″1 and 1.″2, with a contrast of Δ m ∼ 5 mag, placing a mass constraint for any possible main sequence companion of m < 0.67 M ⊙ .
