Abstract
The employment of an 8-hydroxyquinoline carbohydrazone tetradentate ligand, 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxaldehyde-(benzoyl)hydrazone (H2L), HoCl3·6H2O and Et3N has led to the formation of dinuclear Ho(III) complex [Ho2(HL)2((PhO)2PO2)4]·2(CH3OH) (1) in the presence of excess amount of bridging diphenyl phosphate anion, (PhO)2PO2−. The biological studies of the title compound were conducted to evaluate the treatment activities on mania. The ELISA detection kit was used to detect the content of the neuroregulin1 (NRG1) in the hippocampus. The RT-PCR was performed to evaluate the relative expression levels of the ErbB4 on the noradrenergic neurons. Furthermore, the mechanism of the complex interacting with the protein is identified by the molecular docking simulation.
